Only the other day, I had my mouse cable running too close (a few cm) to the antenna of a GSM "modem" module; whenever the module was transmitting, the mouse operation became erratic!
Just moving the mouse cable fixed it.

This appears to be an "antenna-less" model, so there might be a trace on the phone's PCB acting as the antenna and you might pick up the RF when running the wire close to it. (?)

Remember: The PCB will have been carefully designed with all this in mind - but you will spoil all their careful calculations by hanging stuff onto it like this!

The only really safe way to do this is via the interface(s) specifically provided for the purpose..

Me, I always say it's better to use a proper GSM module (or "modem") than try to hack about with a phone:
