My first response was 'what the hell is kwp2000' - turns out it is an automotive protocol. Seems like you'll have to get the ISO14230-4 standard to find out anything. From what I've found out from Google - KWP2000 is the protocol over CAN which is the physical layer. So for a tranceiver - use CAN.
