I did a job a couple of years ago using some very expensive dgps gear. Worked well but you do still get bizare wanders. I don't know if the state of the art has moved much recently. Everything was working well until the customer put a huge coal loader in the way of the base station antenna which knocked out half the sky. We sent corrections at 9600baud via radio modems to the mobile units. We got centimetre accuracy.
