Thinking as a capitalist myself, would there be any value in being able to send the "junk" you want to sell to 8052.com, a description of the junk would be posted, and if anyone wants to buy it it could essentially be bought as if through the 8052.com Online Store (credit card, etc.) and, upon payment, 8052.com would send the "junk" to the purchaser and send the money (yes, less a commission) to the seller?

I remember coming up with an idea for something that was essentially eBay back in, oh, the 1980's and the BBS days. The reason I never did anything with it (and apparently the reason I'm not a millionaire) is because I figured no-one would ever be interested in anything like that since it boiled down to trusting the other party to either send the money or send the hardware. The only solution I came up with is having a "neutral" third party that would act as an honest broker, recieve both the product and the money, and then send it on its way when the deal was closed. I'm not sure why I didn't do something like that--maybe it was because, at the time, it seemed like the double shipping costs would be cost-prohibitive.

Anyway, if people think there would be any value in having 8052.com act as an "honest broker/warehouse" for junk that is to be sold, something could probably be worked out there. Also, there is nothing wrong with posting spare parts/junk you have for sale in this forum. Commercial products shouldn't be sold here, but if you have stuff you'd like to offer for sale, that's not inappropriate for the "General Chat" forum.
