#116826 - impedance matching |
well, I have an audio system here with its 25ohm speaker not working. I dont have a 25ohm speaker right now but couple sacks full of 16ohm speakers. so, I thought I better use 16ohm speaker in place of 25ohm and I did (simply cut and replace). but sound quality was utterly disappointing. I guess I know why, impedance mismatch!!(?). so, please anyone of you guys kindly advise me something that I could plug into this thing so as to match the impedances. I guess a text book solution using transformer with (n1/n2)= sq.root(25/16)! but its "turn ratio" turned to be so weird that I guess such a transformer will not be available in the market. but may be there is something else I could do here. |
