The core type is critical for the efficiency of the inductor. National Semiconductor specify particular inductors for their simple switcher ics, the latest ones switch up at these frequencies you mention so one would expect if the inductors are suitable for these chips then they will work in your application. The inductor manufacturer should also specify the frequency range. |
