#115610 - PC comm. port |
Hi all,
The TComPort component of my Borland C++ Builder4 that I had been using so far, somehow, got broken and I could neither survive it nor be able to reinstall it. These day, I`m currently busy with developing my 14Mhz transceiver built 10 years ago (homebrew). I want to move all its front panel faculties to my PC via an added 89c52 to my transceiver. So, the option to get my PC (with XP operating System) to have an serial access to my rig seem (except buying a commertial comm port component found ample in net) to use standard serial port access instructions in C.(it is the only programming language I could learn). But I am very doubtfull about standard C`s port access instructions would work reliably with such high level Builder and particularly with the XP. Has any of you ever used standard C port access instructions with Borland when OS is XP? What is the most common method that forum members had preferred to have a serial connection to their 8052 based circuits? What do you suggest me to settle this case in the easiest way ? Thanks in advance. Rustu Kaya ps/ hyperterminal or such independent tools don`t serve my end. |
