#115221 - A note on DTR & RTS after unplug & plug
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I got the FT232R and everything works on windows 2000/XP.
However, DTR & RTS of the device has problem with unplug then plug again with windows 98, 98SE.

After boot up or first plug, the voltage at DTR & RTS is around -8V (compare to GND). If I unplug the usb connection, wait a bit, then plug again, the voltage jump to around +7.5V.
I emailed FTDI support and follow their instruction, modify ftdiport.ini. The patch works for the first unplug & plug but if I unplug & plug twice, same thing happend.

This situation happen to all of the 05 FT232R I got and a 'out of the box' USB to RS232 converter (also using FTDI IC).

I haven't been able to work out a solution but my customer accept my request to change control pin to Tx.
