#111908 - you have an easy life won't you

the most important "document" is the one you write before you write one single line of code. This "document" describes why, what and how.

You two have a very nice and easy living, having defined your work beforehands.
So far I never managed to get more than about 10% of what is really needed before I presented version 0.1 to the client/boss/whoever. I guess if I'd be able to write down a specification and strictly obey it, anybody else could do my job as well.

The program-documented-inside plus user manual is a great idea; although some of the user manuals get hopelessly obsolete and unusable by the time the project reaches v3.5 and stabilises (related to the problem described above) - and by that time everybody is too tired to update it and there is also no need, as all the related parties understand very well the peculiarities of the problem by then...

Plus I try to write programs rather than code (OK it's not true as I am a real showoff but I should do so) :-)
