Just one more question on this topic......... Is the voltage devider with the zener in parallel with the resistor connected to ground also a soloution to this problem? If the correct resistor values are chosen, the voltage devider will "clap" the output at a voltage lower than the total supply but higher than Vz so that the zener will switch on. my thinking here is, untill the zener is turned on, the voltage devider will hold the output at a relatively save value untill the zener turns on, from which point, the output will be Vz. Am I correct, do you agree? Thank you sun |
