#105055 - ...and another
Responding to: ???'s previous message
A mathematician, a physicist and an engineer agree to a psychological experiment. The mathematician is put in a chair in a large empty room and a gorgeous naked woman, takes her place on a bed at the other end of the room. The psychologist explains, "You are to remain in your chair. Every minute, I will move your chair to a position halfway between its current location and the girl. If you reach the girl, she has agreed to let you do whatever you want"

The experiment begins, and the psychologist moves the chair as he promised. After a few iterations, the mathematician looks at the psychologist in disgust. "What? I'm not going to go through this. You know I'll never reach the girl" And he gets up and storms out.

The psychologist ushers the physicist in. He explains the situation, the physicist is so smart, he sees right though the experiment, laughs and refuses to take part.

The psychologist ushers the engineer in. He explains the situation, and the engineer's eyes light up and he starts drooling. The psychologist is a bit confused. "The mathematician saw this and gave up after four steps, the physicist was so smart that he didn't even participate. Why are you so happy ?"

"Ah yes", said the engineer, "Of course! But I estimate that by the 5th step I'll get close enough for all practical purposes!"
