Steve and Kai,
Thanks for remembering us. At 7.6 scale (for many minutes) it was very horrible. I live in Islamabad, where only one high building (10 stories apartments) colapsed in just few seconds. I am personally fine along with my family. But the mountaineous region of the country was among the most affected areas causing thousands to lose lives and hundrends of thousands to become homeless. The people are afraid to return to their homes due to aftershocks of the magnitude 5-6. We have received more than 125 aftershocks in less than 48 hours. Most of the pakistanis in UK are from those areas where massive destruction occured. We are thankful to the international community who helped us in the moment of crisis. |
