Embedded is almost there in every appln nowdays...so as DSP, networks...etc... So in a sense all fields do have good opportunity

Be aware that there is no such thing as "embedded". There is "small embedded" (which we discuss here) for control and such and "large embedded" for data processing such as cellphones. "small embedded" is a distinctive discipline, whereas "large embedded" overlap with the PC to a large scale.
