These links to pictures just now occured on a local Czech-(Slovak) electronic forum; they depict a kit which was manufactured in the GDR and sold here around the 1980's (and was too expensive for my parents to buy me...). The kit came under name PIKOTRONIK.

The difference to the common "spring-board" type is, thet the parts don't have fixed position and can be arranged in the way one draws the circuits.
