the problem is 2051 chip pin out put is cathode which is connected to gate..
and if i connect the cathode of scr with negative power supply, it dose not work. i've found that if chip output is anode then it works prperly.. the problem is 2051 chip pin out put is pulldown which is connected to gate.. and if i connect the cathode of scr with negative power supply, it dose not work. i've found that if chip output is pullup then it works prperly.. Maybe you can get by with pullup resistors. I would never have thought of using SCRs for a display, but why not. You will still need transistors for the other row/column, so why not transistors on both sides. There is no way you can turn it of if both sides are SCRs. Erik |
