In my previous response I said:
"When you move U or L to A, set bits 5 & 6 in A so that RS & RW won't be modified when you dump A to the port." It should have been "When you move U or L to A, set the bits in A.5 and A.6 to what you want RS & RW to be so that when A is dumped to the Port the control bits will be correct." The initial sentence makes it sound like I wanted the OP to set bits 5 & 6 to 1's when I intended to set UP the bits accordingly. Sorry for any confusion. Hal |
