#188848 - Intel may be the copyright owner Responding to: ???'s previous message |
When you compare the NXP manuals to the the original "MCS 51 Microcontroller Family User's Manual" from Intel you'll find a great deal of identical text. For instance, the instruction set description is exactly the same in both documents, all 46 pages, from ACALL to XRL. Also, you'll find identical text all over. For example, in the Intel manual says:
"Those SFRs that have their bits assigned for various functions are listed in this section. A brief description of each bit is provided for quick reference. For more detailed information refer to the Architecture Chapter of this book." And the NXP manual also says: "Those SFRs that have their bits assigned for various functions are listed in this section. A brief description of each bit is provided for quick reference. For more detailed information refer to the Architecture Chapter of this book." Was/is the NXP manual a printed book? Perhaps, but I have never seen one... The Intel manual was originally a printed book. |
