#188260 - Have you considered leap seconds? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Have you considered leap seconds?
Since the globalization of transactions and time standards, in devices including embedded ones the actions to add a leap second every now and then must be in thought. Until now 24 leap seconds have been added so far, and the clocks at a specific time run from 0 to 59s to 60s and then they rollback normally. Since an embedded device may be used for a wide variety of operations for accutracy and conformance these leap seconnds must be implemented as feature and not an option. http://www.timeanddate.com/time/leapseconds.html K.L.Angelis |
