24MHz would be a suitable choice of crystal. Use 22pF caps as in the schematic.
The bootloader should detect your baud rate from the programming software. However you need to configure your application to set a standard baud rate. You can achieve most standard bauds with a 24MHz crystal. Life is easier with a baud-friendly crystal like 22.118MHz. David. |
