Put the diodes across the terminals of both solenoids and it worked - interrupt no longer triggered and circuit fully functional.
In relation to keypad, the actual physical keypad is western style and thanks for pointing that out.
Also thanks for yer help on the solenoids.. overlooking this could have been a costly error.

Finally thank you Michael for your review of the circuit - very help moving forward.
