I am not sure that the reset pin on DS89C4x0 can be left floating. Please consult the datasheet.
Also, the timing provided by loops may be off, if the original code was written for a 12-clocker (which I suspect it was). But, in cases like these, you should start with the "embedded Hello word" - blink a LED first. JW |
