The download PDF version of the document looks like a good teaching text for classes on 8051 that focus strongly on the SiLabs C8051F020.
The document is a little light on words and pulls heavily on diagrams and tables from the SiLabs data sheets. Along with that there is are introductory sections on using assembler and C51. I would not pay the text book type price for this book but was glad that Jan found a free PDF download to review. I think if one wanted to learn a bit more about hardware and assembly programming for 8051 you would want to supplement this book with the one that Craig Steiner wrote -- http://www.8052.com/book/ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1581124597 Michael Karas |
