Do not use any timer to clear the watchdog timer. And especially not a ISR trigged by the timer. The goal with a watchdog is to tell that the application is running, so you normally kick it from important loops.
If all you have is the main loop, then it's enough to kick there. It doesn't matter if you kick too often - you only get a reboot if you kick to seldom. |
