Jameco offers a very good product from Jrkerr:
http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wc..._184997_-1 The manual: http://download.siliconexpert.com/pdfs/2009...184997.pdf If you need more options such as a BLDC check out their main page: http://jrkerr.com/boards.html They also have software libraries to help you make this happen. You may also need the conversion board if you do not want to make one yourself: http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wc...1586120_-1 The whole list of inventory easily had is here: http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wc...=jamecoall or you can just buy it directly from Jrkerr's site. Motors and gearboxes readily avaiable from: http://anaheimautomation.com/ You say you do not need all the bells and whistles, so why not use a brushed motor with limit switches? If the motor has to keep position, but does not have to be entirely accurate one could interface with an LSI chip and encoder mounted brushed DC motor. Turn the motor on/off and wait for it to stop, read the position. I guess the real question is what exactly do you need? The products above should be able to give you very good accuracy for the price, which I do not think you are really after. |
