I'm a college student and looking to learn to use and work with 8051s. I don't have any background experience with any other controllers, but do have experience with coding, and hardware.

What I'm looking at getting is this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1581124597 , along with a silicon labs development kit http://www.silabs.com/products/...x#devtools .

So my question is then, which kit would be best for me to learn on? and is that the best book for learning with no previous experience?
