Am I correct: to do IAP of a LPC93x you need the MCP900 (or equivalent) and FlashMagic? You surely meant ICP? NXP's terminology is: IAP - self-programming, application modifies part of the FLASH ISP - serial (UART) - based programming, just like the 'C51Rx2/'V51Rx2 (except the entry method), bootloader is in FLASH so that could be completely removed by user ICP - serial (SPI-like) - based programming (the only way to program lower-end LPC9xx-s). It is purely hardware (although I am willing to bet that in fact it is firmware run out of user-invisible ROM, but from the user point of view it is the same). JW |
