The AT89C51AC2 datasheet states the following:
"Positive External Reference Voltage Range (VREF) 2.4 to 3.0V (typ.)" Erm, since it's stated as "typical" by the manufacturer, in a designer point of view, is it a bad design if I set Vref to 2V? That would be nice, since this would allow me to use the full scale resolution of the 89C51 ADC with my accelerometer. I am only asking this to avoid adding a non inverting opamp stage to get 'the full benefit' out of the said ADC. Cheers Kai |
