It took almost one year, but finally the new 5V LPC97x and LPC98x materialized. Mouser has a few of them on stock and sells them for a quite pleasant price from quantity of 1. Strangely enough Digikey has none...

I suspect that engineering samples have been around meantime for those who are closer to the "source". Anybody has experiences with the new parts, pleasant or otherwise, to share?
