sometimes you need a pointer, but most often it is because you are 'scared' of global variables.
I am NOT trying to start a food fight re the (dis)advantages of global variables, just if the pointer overhead is a concern of yours getting rid of the pointers is a means to0 limit the overhead. Erik |
