I read the question as if it is needed to have capacitors for the supply voltage. The answer is normally yes
I hold the Vcc decoupling for absolutely mandatory To show the importance of short traces, I even have an example of a circuit that was not stable. The i.... that did the layout of a PCB had > 1 inch traces to the decoupling caps. Soldering a decoupling cap directly across the chip cured the instability. Erik |
