#175454 - GSM is not good for DTMF [Off-Topic] Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The GSM speech codecs - as the name suggests - are specifically designed and highly optimised for human speech - they are not good for carrying in-band DTMF.
See: http://www.8052.com/forum/read/76201 So, while you might be able to get something to "work" (sic) with a standard DTMF decoder chip, it's probably not a great idea - especially as GSM is a Digital link and there are almost certainly better ways to do it... But this has nothing to do with 8052s Akhil Bose said:
I am sending the command
AT+CENG=2(setting to engineering mode) i get +CENG : 0 "00,73,32,0,???,??,??,???,??,??" and 6 other similar lines. My SIM300 is in text Mode ?? You need to consult the Documentation for your SIM300 - this is totally specific to the SIM300 and has absolutely nothing to do with any external microcontroller! |
