I've used eagle a few times for hobby type stuff at home (it certainly isn't Altium, but it ain't bad either..). Never seen the problem you describe, though I have only ever tried running it under Windows XP SP3..

What version of Eagle are you using? The only thing that immediately comes to mind, is if the program has somehow erroneously placed any objects outside the allowed 100 x 80 mm PCB area, possibly? (or maybe I could be grasping at straws, just my opinion..)
