it'd help if you'd put columns for clock cycles and instruction cycles next to your assembly listing.

in the plain vanilla 8052 instruction set at link 2 below, MOVX is 2 clock cycles.

and like Eric says, you need to check the datasheet for your part, to see how instruction cycles relate to clock cycles for that part. see also the timing discussion in link 1 below.
