i dont mind them being a few clock cycles out to be honest, the program need not be strict to within even a few nanoseconds, i was thinking about using a macro for delays in nanoseconds using the compiler to insert nops, but i really think that for now the timer should be accurate for what I am using it for.
could you make a comment on whether you think it would be better to reset the timer at each delay call, or whether i should write code to account for the overflow reset? cheers for the comments thus far guys, Joel |
