#173353 - Short? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Matthew,
When you say: i need to short the wire at collector of transistor to the wire at emitter when the base turn on do you mean that you need to drive the transistor into saturation? If that's what you mean, then you'll need to know how much current your µ-controller port pins can source, the h_fe of the transistor, and the resistance of the load. Do a load line plot of the configuration of your transistor circuit. If it turns out that the load is to much for your µ-controller to drive, you may need to investigate something called the Darlington pair configuration for your transistors. Good luck, Joe |
