#173204 - Wireless modules
Well. Basically I had purchased a couple of XBees series one wireless transceivers a couple of months ago which I was operating happily at 19200bps sustained speed with minimal errors. Basically my setup now consists of an 8051 sending data continuously to PC at 115200bps. Of course the olde MAX232 is still doing its job well, but now when operating the XBees at that speed I found that the on chip buffered data (1KB) was too small with the effect of having the classic transmission pauses, hence speed is being reduced and that is no good for my application.

Well, basically as I see it I need another pair of wireless modules which can operate (ideally) at 115Kbps (115200bps) continuously, without fear of buffer overflow and the like. Have you come across the need of such modules? If so it would be great if you guys could share your opinion on this matter.

Regards,

Kai
