Ramtron acquired part of Goal Semiconductor some 4-5 years ago, and the remainder of Goal operates under the Cyrod name. (There is a who-bought-whom chart on my webpage.). I know of no changes since then.
They have also a FRAM-less (numbering starts with 2 rather than 3) and a (relatively-)low-pin-count model. I have their devkit (the older LPT-based one) and wrote a relatively big application with not more than just the usual problems (flaky documentation, minor bugs in the emulation software) some 3 years ago, but only as a hobby. Never get to use it in a real-world application, so I can not tell anything about this. Should you go into that, feel free to ask. JW |
