Thank you both for the quick reply. In this application, the board itself is cheap so I am not necessarily worried about it. What I am worried about is the fact that the board is communicating with (via SPI) and powering an electronic compass (5VDC supply) which is definitely not cheap. Would putting 120 or 480 VAC to the LM2574-5 just kill the switcher and leave everything on the output side of the switcher intact or would it kill the whole shooting match? Perhaps it's a crapshoot instead but I don't know...
I do not have the experience to be able to answer this question so your advice is appreciated. Brian |
