If triac's A1 pin is connected to VCC pin of microcontroller You can turn-on triac with sinking to VSS . In idle state microcontroller output must be in high state. Very important is load type - on incandescent lamp short gate pulse is enough on any phase angle , on saving lamp - things are different.
There are application notes from Microchip, Texas (and Silabs or Cygnal, cant remember) - they are discussing dimmer circuit to be mounted instead wall switch. In this case problem is powering of microcontroller circuit - micro must be in really low power mode. If You have independent supply - then 892051 will be ok.
