#171831 - Truth is....
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I am an advocate of the 8052 devices, but in this case you might find that the PIC18F2331 is a very proper choice. This sucker has a very nice PWM and A/D combo package. Not only this, but it also supports the need for quadrature encoders. If you do not need encoder feedback then maybe you could try something else, but this is the chip that major manufactures of smart motor control use. Datasheet: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads...39616C.pdf good luck with that project. If you do get a working PID controller I think everyone would appreciate a walk-thru or a guide, as there are a lot of people interested in this technology and no one offers this information very readily.
