Hi,

I'm having trouble downloading a C .hex file to my AT89C2051.
I am using Keil µVision compiler.
When I have a program written in assembler, compile it, download the produced .hex file to the chip and connect the chip to my circuit, everthing works well.

However, when I create a C program, and try and download the produced .hex file to the chip, I get an error saying that the program file size is too large and to make sure I have selected the correct chip.

I have selected the correct chip, and my .hex file size is tiny (90 bytes) which is a lot less than 2K.

Can anyone tell me why I can't download the C .hex file using this utility, but I can using an assembler generated hex file.
This is the second flash utility I have used to try and do this!
Are there any settings that I should change in my compiler.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
