If you need to avoid jitter, you need a device that will set/clear/toggle an output pin in hardware with the Timer overflow. Or you can put the mcu to sleep and wakeup on the interrupt. It even saves on power consumption. Have a look in the datasheet/manual and look for the IDLE bit. |
