#170658 - 2nd Recommendation on Kenneth Ayala's Book
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I 2nd the great review of this book ("8051 Microcontroller: Architecture, Programming and Applications").

You would be hard pressed to find a better value for $7+. This book personally helped me with my first design project years ago.

FYI, it does include the following:
-Description and understanding of the 8051 architecture
-Peripheral use
-Example assembly language code for some short functions
-Dealing with bits, variables, and the data pointer
-The 8051 instruction set
...among others...
