"Macro" is a general computing term for any way of abbreviating some kind of sequences of commands, operations, etc.
Many editors have a "macro" facility that allows you to define your own custom operations; MS Office products have a "macro" facility that allows you to define your own custom operations - as do the OpenOffice products; etc, etc,... |
