#166765 - a bit of googling Responding to: ???'s previous message |
http://frontline-electronics.com/html/InCi...r8051A.htm (there's also a version B for the Atmels).
Looks fair value for the price, judging by what's on the webpage. It says, among others, "accepts files with many formats. It also accepts different assemblers and C languages. For the ASM program, Intel Hex format is accepted. For the C environment, both KEIL and SDCC compilers are supported." I suspect, though, that Makarand needs to have his sources in AS8051 (which presumably is the assembler used by SDCC) for to be able to use "Source Level Debugger", rather than plain disassembly out of the hex. (I wonder, whether the debugger supports OMF-51 format - if yes, it could as well debug ASEM-51's output). As AS8051 has its roots in a non-51-specific assembler, its syntax is somewhat different from the Intel-like assemblers. Documentation comes with the SDCC documentation (but not the online one). I agree that the best thing to do is to contact the manufacturer, they might clarify the various asm usage. JW |
