#166124 - AT89S52 USB I/O controller drivers |
I'm using a generic USB I/O controller board that happens to use an AT89S52. This is being used as an interface for an output device to be controlled by the computer user (no input is ever received from the device). For some reason, this board decided to rob me of half the I/O ports, as the chip allows for 32 bits and instead I have 3 different connectors the same 16 bits. But I digress. What I really want to know is one of two things:
1. Can the INF file for my driver installation be rewritten to be compatible with Vista? 2. Am I going to have to write a new driver (and thus most likely reprogram the chip)? I ask because the driver disk only has drivers compatible with XP or earlier Windows systems. I haven't been able to find any drivers for this online, despite knowing what I'm working with now. |
