Well, you've made a good start in identifying MAX232 as a chip to use (although note that more modern variants & equivalents are avaialable). You should study the Datasheet for the MAX232 to see how to use it. The MAX232 is such a common chip that there are plenty of examples available all over the web; eg, many suppliers publish the schematics of their devkit - so look at them for examples. Also look in the FAQs on this site - there's a whole section on serial interfacing... |
