#165474 - What exactly do you mean by "newcomer"?

I'm choosing the part for its cost savings over a similar PIC part across 50-100pcs, which can add up. I don't have any hardware to program the LPC903 and I'm finding it difficult as a newcomer to absorb the multi-vendor culture of the 8051 world.

Does this mean that you are familiar with the PICs? If so, what would you use to program those?

As Neil mentioned above, some of the LPC9xx (the "bigger" ones) come with built-in serial bootloader, but the added cost would probably negate the benefits you expect.
