Hi,

I'm a newbie trying to understand how this micro works, could anybody help me?

I've bought the starter kit of xc864, which comes with the following tools:

1)Dave – code generator
2)Mini IDE – IDE
3)SDCC – compiler
4)Hitop – device connect, flash loader, debugger
5)mtty - monitor
6) XC800_FLOAD - programing

I've been following the get starter manual but when I try to use the mtty tool to monitorize the program I see the next error: “error2:createfile” I supposed that it happened because I was debugging it at the same time for the same port, so that I tried to program the micro but when use the “XC800_FLOAD” it requires and hex file to work but I can't find how to generate and hex file from the “c code” programs of the exemples.

Any help would be gratefully
