I’m new on this website and my problem might not be directly related to this forum, but I’m running out of ideas so maybe you can point where I should look for.
I bought an Omega with CCRT2008 radio with CD. Got a radio code with it but found that it don’t work when battery was disconnected. I tried Vauxhall again and they confirmed same code calculated using radio serial number. No other help from the dealer so I asked Sextons in Southampton and was told that they cant read eeprom in my radio and it might take 14-20 days to send the unit to get new eeprom chip.
I’m going on holiday in 3 days and need a radio so this won’t help me. Can you please point me in the right direction to a proper electronic specialist that can fix radios, not just fit them
I found one member from Basingstoke (Andy Neil), where I also live so maybe there is a way to read the eeprom and get a code or reprogram new chip.
